• Must be an initiated ADPi Member • Current DAA Member (have paid 2025-2026 dues) • Attend monthly Board meetings – usually week night, 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, virtual • Attend annual Board planning meeting - in-person, typically Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon • Attend DAA events and programs
The following descriptions include a few primary responsibilities and skills needed. It is not intended to be a complete job description. If you have any questions about a particular role, please contact Michelle Morgan, DAA President, Arlene Manthey, DAA President-Elect or the current officer.
Officers
Vice-President Programs • Plan and manage all DAA programs, events, Member workshops and business meeting. Includes obtaining speakers, location (member’s home, restaurant or other venue) and other arrangements • Special interest events – serve as or appoint coordinator for Young Alum, Lunch Bunch, Pi Day, Founders’ Day and others as needed • Work with VP Communications to ensure programs are communicated timely. • Post events in Pride Online Skills: organizational skills and event planning experience
Vice-President Membership • Review Membership forms and confirm ADPi membership in good standing via Pride Online • Send timely Welcome emails to Members after receiving confirmation from DAA Treasurer of membership payments • Update Association Pi Portal DAA Membership for current year; Provide VP Communications a current roster for the DAA website Skills: strong Excel or Google Sheets; Word or Google Docs experience
Vice-President Philanthropy • Plan and implement DAA’s support of the Alpha Delta Pi Foundation and Ronald McDonald House – Dallas (RMHD) • Identify and schedule events for the national Week of Service • Serve as an Ex-Officio Trustee of the Dallas Alpha Delta Pi Foundation • Serve as or appoint a liaison for Ronald McDonald House (RMHD) • Identify DAA meetings and events to collect and deliver donations and contributions to RMHD. This can include raffle drawings and silent auctions Skills: organization skills and event planning experience
Vice-President Communications • Manage the DAA website and social media including Facebook and Instagram • Manage Constant Contact database • Create and distribute DAA newsletters • Submits request for payment of web domain, Constant Contact and other servicesto Treasurer Skills: strong website design and administration experience, social media administration experience, and writing skills
Vice-President Panhellenic • Appoints a DAA Member to be a liaison for each Texas chapter • Reports on recruitment activities and needs of Texas chapters • Coordinate Jewel Degrees and other ceremonies as requested • Liaison with National Panhellenic Conference and the National Panhellenic Conference Political Action Committee Skills: interest in supporting panhellenic efforts
Treasurer • Manage DAA bank account including balancing the checking account and ensuring receipts/back up is received for expenditures • Responsible for payment platforms (PayPal, Venmo, etc.) • Timely reimbursement of officer expenditures • Prepare annual projected income/expenses and provide updates to the Executive Board and Membership • Process membership dues payments in a timely manner and update • File all necessary financial reports to be in compliance with federal, state and Alpha Delta Pi requirements • Ex-Officio Trustee of the Dallas Alpha Delta Pi Foundation • Check the DAA P O Box weekly and process mail as needed Skills: strong Excel or Google Sheets skills. Experience in accounting or finance. Ability to secure DAA financial records
Secretary • Records minutes of all Board meetings • Responsible for all Association correspondence including notes to members as needed • Maintains and records a file of all meetings of the Association Skills: Word or Google Doc experience
